Haha. All the best on your climb towards the top bro. :s13:

If the organisers want to zap my points away, I cannot say no mah. But even so I would still retain my post counts. Tried to contribute to active discussion, but looking at the rate this goes, I guess I'll just have to settle for a microSD card liao. I guess the moment the organisers started to give out bonus points, my game is over liao, coz the organisers can award at their discretion bonus points to help 'boost' certain people up the ladder. And the organisers will not disclose why these certain people get the 'boost', nor will they even disclose the keywords. So even if I earn 43 points a day the hardworking way, by the time I reach 900 points, all SSDs would have been taken away by the people receiving the 'boost' from organisers. So what's the point of continuing? Let the top 6 continue the discussion while we talk about something else perhaps?

i see those who got bonus points their posts are almost the same like every other posters here. or the admins suddenly feel an urge to add bonus points.

how exactly do the admins define as quality posts. it really feels like rigged or they anyhow manage this promo.

actually who are the ones who really bought this?

for business or personal use i wonder :o

There are many people that have too much money with no place to spend. :( The 1 TB portable ssd pricing maybe is small change to them.

i read from leaks rumor from pocketnow, someone mentioned it's at the simcard slot. not sure how it works too lol. normally theese rumor become very real. :D

and sadly, the battery isn't removable anymore. honestly, i rather get note 4 if choosing ss smartphone. now for latest phone, only LG G4 has removable battery, so i'm going to get that when my contract is up! :s12: :o

if really no microsd slot then is really gg for ss liao...

good luck to them, i rather pick an iphone if i want everything as local storage. but my aim now is G4 :D see how it goes for note 5 and iphone 6s :(

To me removable battery not important, since you can charge your phone/camera with external battery. Nowadays new phones like Samsung Galaxy S6 come bundled with the QuickCharge2.0 charger which charges really fast so even less worry.

But external MicroSD slot very important, you need them to store your vacation photos. With 4k video and slow-mo shooting available in most phones now, need speed, bigger and faster capacity.

Else, have to upload them to online storage (also provided if you have unlimited data connection to upload); also will have issues with photos uploading improperly etc. (picture corrupted, cut off halfway, exif missing etc)

Best is have MicroSD slot so can swap out and use another one when one card runs full.

well it good to have promotion prices but how much price drop will it offer? :s12:

being one of the new gadgets in the market with new technology, the price won't drop so much. at most slightly and might add in one or two freebies.

I have been using their cards almost my whole life, other than Samsung tv, washing machine, some other appliances, have never thought of getting their cards. But I have to say the orange and white colour combination is quite nice and easy to spot.

Samsung microsd is good lo. Can use one.

to me microsd slot is important. i like to keep all my stuffs on it and some apps. if note 5 no microsd slot then jump ship to LG note or pro.

Exactly. Getting all the keywords correct on day1 gets u the full 43 points. Copy-pasting the same answer but phrased differently on day2(since this is fulfilling requirements as spelled out in admin's first post) gets u less points coz not 'quality' enough. Doing the same thing for day3, day4 onwards sometimes causes u to finish the day without any points, worse still if deducted points for 'spam'. But they are the very answers that admin is looking for. So what exactly is the point of thus competition?

My suggestion to admin is that, to make things fair, allow everyone who clocks a certain numher of points to redeem a reward. This way, not only we have some fruitful and genuine discussion on this thread, everyone reaps the reward based on the effort they put in. Though that would depend on how many SSDs and micorSD cards HWZ gets from sponsor.

i am thinking if should just hoot the 32GB evo+ card or try for the 64GB evo or evo+ card. Anyone knows the clear differentiation between evo+ and evo? For smartphones shouldn't matter much right? even the evo should be fast enough for 4K video recording? :s11:

Evo+ as compared to the Evo of course the Evo+ is better. BTW, dont get mixed up with their PRO and PRO plus range of MicroSD cards which provide even greater speed, which is more expensive.

Simply put, EVO+ is Samsung's newer series of EVO, EVO is their previous version. According to Samsung, EVO+ can read and write speeds of 80MB/s and 20MB/s. EVO can provide 48MB/s transfer speed. Both are using the UHS-I interface, so make sure your device can support the UHS standard before purchasing it (although most new phones do support it) Even if your device do not support it, it will still read and write at Class 10, just that it will not be able to utilize the fast transfer speed.

In my own experience, regular EVO cards is more than capable enough for 4k recording. I'm using Samsung 64GB EVO MicroSD.

I hope this help.

Apparently they have some heat protection system in place called Dynamic Thermal Guard protection which is in fact, already in place in their older series of SSDs. So you dont have to worry about damaging your SSD to due it overheating.

What it does is to throttle the speeds of your fast data transfer to keep it below 80 degrees celcius to let the device cool down.

I hope this piece of info can help you make your decision to purchase the Samsung Portable SSD T1!
