It's getting quite difficult to get free shipping to Singapore. In OP's case, the purchase amount is quite small so unlikely to get a waiver.

Thought only got chance if the items are sold by Amazon, and qualify for international shipping in the first place. If the item states 'does not ship to singapore', you wanna pay it also won't ship, much less waive.

Also, TS's items are sold by 3rd party sellers, don't think Amazon CSO can waive.

You are right in that the items must qualify for international shipping. If the items do not ship to Singapore, the CSO will not be able to do anything.

Previously, it was possible to get a waiver for items sold by third parties and fulfilled by Amazon. I've gotten shipping waived for Oontz speakers (sold by Oontz and fulfilled by Amazon) and some other stuff. These are small items and the shipping charges are relatively low viz-a-viz the item value.

However, it has recently gotten quite difficult to get a waiver. I suspect that there may have been some abuse of the goodwill of Amazon CSOs, for example, some people buying low value but bulky items and tried to get shipping waived.

what's worse, he charge everyone 1.5...

I am quite curious how u gonna share shipping lol. By weight or by value lol or half half. If one orders an expensive but light item he might as well own self ship leg.

I couldn't really see the items purchased as well as the value. But thought that ts could have made better purchase decisions? Shipping via cgw is not cheap. The volumetric weight adds up quickly

Sent from microwave oven using GAGT

You guys are spoilt by the free Amazon shipping. :) CGW is cheaper than Amazon priority shipping (assuming you didn't get free shipping).

I usually accumulate about $250+ of items (that do not have free shipping to Singapore) and then order all in one go to save on volumetric shipping charges. TS probably did not need to buy so much stuff.

Actually it depends lah. I did some rough comparisons:

Item A: Ortz PS4 Vertical Stand with Cooling Fan

US$24.99 for this on Amazon might be a tad overpriced unless Ortz value added by using better specs/manufacturing (compared to the cheaper copies you can find on ebay/lazada).
http://www.amazon.com/PS4-Vertical-Stand-Cooling-PlayStation-4/dp/B00TEDK8FQ

Similar product can be found for S$23 on Lazada
http://www.lazada.sg/aukey-fan-cooler-vertical-dock-station-stand-for-ps4-export-826080.html

You bought two. If got from Lazada, could add in $7 worth of filler items, and use two $10 off $30 coupons for two separate carts. Total spend S$40.

Item B: PlayStation Move charging station

I would have opted for the one sold by Amazon at a higher cost (US$13.99). Amazon's direct intl shipping would have cost only US$9.98. Total: US$23.97 / S$34.50 (@1.44)

Breakdown:
Your total spend so far: US$57.97 + US$32 = S$129.55
Possible total spend: S$40 + S$34.50 = S$74.50 (plus $7+7 worth of additional items)

Whether the other route is worth the savings depends really on whether the Ortz is like the 'original' product and all other versions are inferior chinese fakes, or if the Ortz is actually a rebadged generic chinese product, and other versions are basically the same with minor differences.

actually you are wrong. cause ive done my research the Ortz(good review and has a track record of a better quality product build then the others(i have used other brands locally and it always fail within months, i would have easily bought locally or carousell if i wanted other brands. Anyways 57$ it includes another item too.
