Been reading about wide rim wheels and tires being faster than the normal ones. I like the idea that it can more forgiving on uneven surfaces but for cornering I think our roads are mostly straight with almost no challenging turns, even 23mm tires will have no problem.

I am more interested in the comfort but how true is it when comes to speed.Expert opinions? Asking coz thinking of getting new wheels. Stick to deep rim or wide rim?

Can your bike fit in 28c? Unless is endurance road bike, CX or Gravel, standard road bike can at most put 23c for older bikes, 25c for recent models?

28c almost impossible to get locally if it's race tires.

I just ordered 28c GP4000s from Bike24.

This bike quite old already right?

Depending on what you want to upgrade, it may not be very cost effective.

Edit: Yes, there are people who put different tire width for front and back.

Although not comprehensive, some advantages are increasing comfort and traction for wider rear tire, slightly easier and lighter front steering for narrower front.

Disadvantages are that you have to keep two different type of spare tubes if one of them is 28c and wider. You cannot do tire rotation for wear as well.
