It's better to book directly with the airlines in case something happens at the very last minute.

for budget airline, confirm must book direct lol
else u later got problem with the middle person then jialat lol

for full fledged noramlly book direct also
however, friends have booked from ota before
ota have their own discounts too. hence cheaper lol ...

True uhh but I always prefer direct booking.
No hastle dealing with middle man.

So far no problems with my bookings with OTAs for full service airlines. Currently booking all my eligible air tickets via Expedia at the moment for the 6 miles promotion.

Can you quote an example where its not possible??

Full service airlines which sell number of fares/tickets to third parties. have you notices that certain combinations are available only at priceline/expedia/etc but not at the airline? Especially this is true when two or more airlines are involved.

So far no problems with my bookings with OTAs for full service airlines. Currently booking all my eligible air tickets via Expedia at the moment for the 6 miles promotion.

Quite a number of cards involved, there's rebate or miles. It's the same promo from last year that ended in July, they continued again in August. I guess you missed my FT post. ;)
