iPad Mini 4

Damn sian, why my iPad Mini keeps getting disconnected and connected when using USB 3.0 port. And using USB 2.0 port it will not.

I noticed that after reading online, found out that it was a charging issue? Due to very low power that the iPad is very sensitive towards current output?

What cable are you using?

I bought a gold iPad mini 4 with midnight blue smart cover and it looks terrific! The contrast between the white bezel and the midnight blue tone is quite striking. I am quite amazed at the thinness of it. This is coming from someone who did not own any iPads prior to this.

You should also get the silicon case to complement the smart cover.

Currently my Singtel phone plan only has 2GB included and along with multi -sim.

Would it be advisable to get the iPad Mini 4 with Singtel Mobile broadband w/ 10GB plan OR to get the iPad from apple store and just upgrade my phone plan to get more data (Contract already over).

Depends how's your usage like.
I used to be on 7gb data plan with M1 but used only 3gb max. Abit not worth it.
Maybe consider jumping to M1 for 1gb more data at the same price plan?
Anyway, I got the wifi variant as I don't think I'd bring it out since I am using iPhone.

Rather than paying one shot $868 from apple store 64gb cellular,Recontract your mobile plan.

Get the iphone 6s plus 64gb and sell to dealer at about 1280. U would earn about $400 to $450 after offset the cost of iphone u paid singtel.

Buy ipad mini 4 from another dealer sealed local set which cost lesser than 868, about $800 from carousell.

Top up about $350 to $400 with profit $400 to $450.
Your new ipad cost only $350 to $400

It should work this way if u do the calculations.

i think better to sign mobile broadband plan separately. keep the two separate. if use from same plan, harder to track data usage.

unless u are willing to go thru the hassle of re-contracting phone, sell away, take the money and buy no-contract ipad.

Am considering iPad Mini but need to ensure that i can do the above before committing.

use this app called Infuse. video player app but can play through network devices such as your NAS, already supports many file format but need to pay to unlock all the formats. organizes your files if you want and has the ability to find metadata and subtitles for you, i paid for the full app and it was well worth it.

Anyone got issue activating iMessage and Facetime? My unit keeps showing error activating and try again when sign in with apple id. Reset and restore to factory default still same problem. Running ios9.0.2.

Many may not know that actually sticking with the pre installed firmware is the best. Optimal battery. Been on iOS 9 which came with 6s plus for two weeks, no problem and everything is so smooth.

The pre-installed firmware in ipad mini 4 may already have this imessage activation issue as according to the firmware log, latest ios9.0.2 is supposed to have already resolved the issue. I guess it is still buggy. Feedback to apple support and awaiting their advice.
