anyone can advise other than walking/shopping at the following places, where other place/shopping that is good to go or worth a visit?

went before
- ladies market
- temple street
- tung chung factory outlet
- ifc mall sky100
- the peak / tram

going for 5 days this time round.

Some ideas - http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/97221771-post406.html

Mid Levels Escalators if you don't mind walking a lot. Interesting as well. Go to any side of HK except Kowloon island.

hows the weather in hongkong during mid nov?
gng over for 4d3n.

Cooling~

If scared of cold, bring jackets with a thin layer fleece sewn inside. Not scared of cold, windbreakers will suffice.

Bring lip balm and moisturizer as the winds may result in a dry weather...

Bring gloves up if going up The Peak and/or Ngong Ping. At higher altitudes, the temperatures are cooler and your hands will immediately feel it.

heading to HK in Nov.

This is actually my 4th time there.. any nice and not so touristy places to explore? I am thinking of exploring some of the neighbourhoods.

Looking at the mtr line, I have only been around from prince edward mtr all the way down to causeway bay and central area. Never been to eastern part of HK island and east and west of kowloon and New Territories.

Any recommended places in those areas?

Thanks!

Are you a tvb fan? My trips usually consists of such:

1) Trekking on their outskirts. Plenty for you to choose.

2) Visit to their beach. Nicer than SG I feel.

3) Outdoor cycling in nature, or kayak to their outlying "island".

4) This is a bit odd, but I like to take bus to stanley area to admire rich ppl house :s13:

5) Visit the road side stalls at night at mid levels for dinner

6) Hop over to Shen Zhen / Guang Zhou area for some cheap goodies and local delicacies.

My upcoming trip would be to explore the so called village in HK.

Touristy stuffs:

Nature trails and hikes:

Tour around the island:

Hop on any bus and just go anywhere. If you want to watch some scenery and want some thrill, take the bus that goes to The Peak. Peek out of the bus. You will know what's called living on the edge. Literally.

While you enjoy on the edge living, you also get to see the flats/apartments built there. Marvel at how they did it...

If you are up for any walks, try the Mid Levels Escalators.

Offshore islands:

Lamma, Lantau, Peng Chau, Cheung Chau

See what you like/what interests you...

bookmarked links :D

Klook has it.. About $17... Rather use data roaming or M1 passport roaming for that if just 1 day In Macau.

if buy from klook , where to collect the sim ? I using Singtel not M1, even if got M1 user... Macau and HK is 2 diff "passport" right ?

I think collect from HKIA, then don't activate yet. You can buy SIM card for HK Trip, then for Macau, change back to M1 Data Passport.

When are you going? For how many days? Is that price shared among people or per person?

The date and number of nights you are staying will affect the pricing...

End of november 22- 26, 5d4n, solo traveller

Mini Central... the rest of the hotels locations like not so convenient. The only problem is, Mini is really small, but otherwise it's comfortable.

Since you are a solo traveller, the space constraint won't really stand out.

Thanks for the input, mini hotel central seems okay. The bathroom is little too small for me.

Any other suggestions for hotels located near Admiralty, Sheung Wan MTR

Ibis Sheung Wan? Is the toilet too small too?

Or iClub Sheung Wan? The website itself got "minimum 3 nights" promo.
