is that for entrepreneurs ?
Yes in a way plus people with funds to invest.
is that for entrepreneurs ?
Yes but finance in nz?
My pal in engineering IT moved there to do environment engineering and that closed to do sales and marketing.
U may have to switch career..
Finance u can think of oil and risk management there in Alberta. Now not the best time. Still will be best to go do a short 1 yr cert to move
You mean study there for one year?
If you don't have oil experience will be hard, am edu on oil can help plus it buys u time to get a job.
If u can afford $$ to get investment visa what's 1 yr of cheap edu
Spending a year studying can be be complicated when you are married with 3 kids

Well if you net worth cad$1.6M how is it hard? Can hire ppl take care.
Setting a biz with 3 kids also not easy... Unless you thinking just pour into existing biz what need the $$. There is risk of not seeing the $ plus feed the family but at least u not hitting the books can take care of kids
Moreover it's a cert no phd, those PRC no $$ and 2 kids working on PHD getting little $ more complex
I'm not a entrepreneur type so probably just wanna a job. What cert are you referring to? Getting one would be sufficient to find a job and a PR?

No such thing as definite answer ie getting cert =job = pr. We are talking abt 2015, not 1960 where migration was super easy.
And u could look up the canadian economy structure to see what skills are indemand but the economy is not thr best right now.
Firstly thanks to patryn and yuyu for the replies. Don't want to sound like someone who haven't done his research but things would have been less complicated if I'm single with less opportunity cost in term of giving my job here. Will take a look more at the cert route and discuss with my wife. But I think the first step is to have a family holiday there first
Try to dig on LinkedIn and find ppl working there and connect to understand if route is possible.
Country is too big, 2 -4 weeks cannot really say much

I tried asking my boss in London if there's any position available in Canada but they told me they just shut down the calgary office.
if u areworking in mnc with offices in canada, try askingfor transfer? Maybe that works.
