With the new online portal and app HealthHub, Singaporeans and PRs can access their public health records and medical appointments online.

SINGAPORE - From today, Singaporeans and permanent residents (PRs) will be able to access their public health records online by using their SingPass accounts.

This includes hospital discharge summaries and chronic disease laboratory test results from the past six months, as well as their children's dental and immunisation records.

People can also use it to look up the dates, times, and locations of upcoming medical appointments.

The new online portal, called HealthHub, is available both on the web and via a mobile application of the same name.

It draws data from public healthcare databases such as the National Electronic Healthcare Records and School Health System.

It was jointly developed by the Health Ministry and Health Promotion Board.

Health Minister Gan Kim Yong, who launched the portal on Sunday morning, said: "Having convenient access to such information is a step towards helping you make decisions such as how you can take better control and better care of your health, and encourage your children to lead a healthier lifestyle."

The app is still in its early stages, and its creators hope to add more features and information later on. These include medication records, for example, or even push notifications to remind people of their upcoming appointments.

For now, HealthHub users will also be able to earn points by sharing health-related articles from the portal on social media. These can then be converted to NTUC LinkPoints and used to offset grocery bills or redeem items.

In addition, users of the mobile app will get access to special deals and discounts at selected stores.
