And hang around like you're waiting for someone to buy you lunch? =:p

Driving in but wearing like that isn't very safe - wait get picked up on suspicion of stolen car, how? :D

If going in for the first time and/or not sure about safety, it's better not to drive. City Square and KSL are easily accessible, so there's no need to drive unless you're planning to buy lots of stuff. And yet, there's the GST-payable to be mindful of too.

Just doing some light shopping for apparels and most likely some kid's toys. So I don't think I'll have any GST chargable stuff in my ride. Haha.

I should be going in on Wed or Thurs as well. Sometime in the morning and coming back in the evening to pick my kid up from school if we can make it back.

i usually drive in after i drop off my kid in school. ie 730am. no jam at all. get some breakfast in jb (kopi, kolo mee, wanton mee, nasi lemak, fish soup, roti prata... ) before i continue my drive up. evenings are a bit tricky, cos if u are lucky, there wont be a jam.

ok i hardly buy my clothes in msia (ok ok, maybe some boxers and socks). usually buy or make them here in sg. so i cant really advice you on buying apparels in jb. but i think there should be some apparel shops in city sq, komtar, ksl. or u can also drive a bit more to aeon tebrau city. i think its a bigger shopping mall compared to ksl. lotsa restaurants, shops, huge supermarket... and watching a movie there on a weekday is around rm8 per pax. cheaper than city square.

Do I really need to register for the VEP as well? Haven't got the full details of the vehicle since it's my mum's car. I don't have the log card as well.

Really wouldn't mind driving further up North as well. Just that it's our virgin attempt driving in, wanna get used to it before venturing anywhere out of KSL area. Haha. But if it's in the vicinity, then why not? :D

ok, tebrau city is about 10 to 15 minutes drive from ksl. not that far actually. google is your best friend.
like one of them suggested, get an updated gps (or use google maps if you have access to data). really useful to navigate around.

I just googled it. xD So I'm not gonna register the VEP for now. Save 10rm. :D

Anyways, would you be kind enough to let me trail your car next week to enter Malaysia? :D

no prob. I'll need to confirm my meetings next week first, cos i may have a few places to go in johor. I try to schedule all my johor meetings together, dont wanna make too many trips in and out. quite time consuming.

and if u are ok, i usually drop my kid off at bishan at 7am, and make my way to woodlands from there. the malls dont open till 9 or 10am. so u can hang out at the kopi tiam, mamak stall or something.
