Dropped something on the corner of my note 4 screen today, now when I turn it on I hear the startup music but nothing is displayed. Anyone has advice on where to get the LCD repaired?

I just saw Janet Mobile repair shop fb posting Samsung Note4 lcd full set replacement $220.

Not sure consider expensive or cheap for repair. U can go fb or Google search.

Just sharing.

what phone you get? iphone I assume

Yup. IPhone6S+. Got pros and cons. But surprisingly I quite like it. The last iphone I used was long ago - ip4 (which I dislike it), before I switched to android phones.

Note4 serves me well. Good phone. S pen serves my job requirements at that time. But reluctant to upgrade to note5. Perhaps when note6 if attractive enough for me to jump back, then will consider again. :)

can describe your experience more now that you jump ship to sheep phone :p
any more difficulties in doing simple task? (create ringtone, convert video to proper size so that can transfer to phone via itunes, etc etc)

Guess miss is the S pen functions.

I using wps office app to transfer my documents, photo wifi app to transfer my photos to laptop. Drag and drop using browser. Still prefer drag drop. LOL

Not using the iTunes or iCloud to transfer to laptop. Only using iTunes to transfer my music for the artworks etc. :D

One thing I don't quite like is the Bluetooth. Still unable to Bluetooth to android phones directly. And also the switching off the mobile data, u can't just drop down from the notification / dropbar and disable. There isn't such icon there. U need to goto settings -> cellular to toggle it on/off.

Wifi, airplane mode can. U click the control centre and can just toggle on and off there. Quite stupid I would say. No Cellular (data). So if have the habit to switching off mobile data when not in use, this is something one might not really like it. Troublesome.

3D Touch quite good. Able to switch panels or close the background panels by pressing the screen a bit "harder". Similar to Android task manager, press Note4 bottom left button.

As many or all know, Iphone unable to add widgets on homescreen unlike android. But now can add apps widgets on its dropbar. Calendar events (today) also appear on its dropbar. Note4 is on its homescreen widget.

Initially can't get used to only one centre button. No left right button in Note4. The assistive touch in iphone sort of an "alternative".

Finger print security is definitely way better than Note4. So much sensitive. Just need to touch. No need to swipe. Superb. I like this.

Noticed some same Apps response faster than Note4. But is not hang free. I managed to hang my iphone once. LOL

Ringtones and video I yet to try.

In short, Samsung interface, either u like it or hate it, is actually much user friendly I would say.

Note4 Spen functions is great. Snapshot, crop, clipboard etc ...

Responsiveness I would give to ip6s+. Maybe because Apps are more "better" coded in ip? Not sure.

User friendliness, I would give to Note4.

Battery last longer in IP6S+. But charging wise, is way long as compared to Note4 fast charge.

Each has its pros and cons. Depends on individual needs and preference.

Just sharing.

Anybody using the FM receiver on the note 4 for radio? Tried to download Next Radio but realised that it's not available for download in the playstore.

Hey guys, I'm having problems deleting Wireless@SGx on my note 4, it does not have the "Forget Network" option when i press hold on it. How to remove this crappy profile? My note 4 keep auto connecting to this useless network everywhere i go, having to turn off WIFI, quite annoying...

It is a built in profile by the Telco so it can't be removed. You can flash the XSP version of firmware if you want a stock, no bloat Note 4.

Or you can use scripts like Llama app to automatically switch off wifi when you leave home. Switch back on when you're at work or home.

After a year of Note 4, Samsung finally nailed the battery life. I updated to N910GDTU1COH4 Android 5.1.1 Australia version of course. I still have 20% with 3.5 hours SoT, heavy gaming/watching videos.

The phone is finally able to sip battery when not used. After whole night, it only sipped 3% of battery with sync and wifi on.

Feels super responsive too, apps opens and close quickly, have not feel lag with the latest update. The recent app tray accessed with the left touch button is instant now, don't have to wait for a few seconds, which is a plus since i switch apps often.

Finally, I am happy with the Note 4, after 1 whole year of waiting... Can't wait for 6.0 Marshmallow.

I flashed it through Odin. It's official firmware, just that it's Australia version. My KNOX is still not triggered. Warrenty still not void...

Yes, I did a clean install after a factory reset. You don't have to reset if you don't wish to. However, it's highly recommended that you do.

Yes, I'm sure local version is not far behind. Maybe I will switch to XSP SG version when it's out.

U can install wifi manager. I use it to remove corrupted wireless@sgx configuration.
