Bro.. you need to track this very carefully. they track your 1 year spending for the calendar year

I called once earlier in the year to understand my spending for the year - the CSO told me I had fulfilled the reuqirements; check back in Sep for crediting of points.

I called in Oct as the points had not been credited yet; to my horror they said I was a couple of hundreds short for the year instead! After some negotiation they raised it internally for approval and granted me the bonus points instead. Obviously there was no follow up on the CSO who had shared the incorrect information

:o

not sure if they still show it, but they used to show the amt u need to spend to get fee waiver. which shld be the same criteria for the bonus miles

Edited for accuracy sake. Tracking of 1 year period for $50K spending is based on your card membership year (i.e. when you signed up)

Just received an SMS for 5 miles per S$1 in overseas dining and shopping spend!!

Seems to have quite a bit of conditions involved but no harm doing so if you are already intending on spending overseas.

http://uob.com.sg/5miles/tncs.pdf

The first two thousand (2,000) Eligible Cardmembers (each “Qualified Cardmember”) who has at
least Singapore Dollars One Thousand (S$1,000.00) worth of Eligible Transactions (as defined in
Paragraph 3.2 below) charged to his/her Eligible Card account during the Spend Period
(“Qualifying Spend”) will each be entitled to additional UNI$ (the “Award”) (as set out under
Paragraph 3.2 below).

That's a very good earning rate. Pity I will only be travelling after that period..

Good promo if you happen to be overseas and hit the minimum spending and pray if you're the first 2000 customers.

No traveling for me though heh.

Well generally speaking, the PRVI Miles card isn't a cash rebate card but you can definitely choose to do so (although the mile warriors here might probably frown at you :s13:)

You can exchange for S$100 rebate with UNI$5000.

Since you earn UNI$6.25 for every S$5 spent in foreign currency, you will effectively need to spend S$4,000 in a foreign currency before you can earn UNI$5,000.

The cash back for foreign spend for the UOB PRVI Card is therefore approximately 2.5% ($100/$4000) on a regular day - barring rounding errors and issues.

If you do manage to take advantage of this promotion (which gives you 5 miles per S$1), you will earn up to 5.0% cashback with no cap.

It might be a better idea to check out the UOB Visa Signature Card which gives you 5% cashback if you spend between S$1,000 and S$2,000 on foreign currency during each statement period. :s12:

On the T&C page 5, mentioned that 2.6 additional miles per $, cap at 4000 miles, which means the oversea dinning n shopping must be $1000-1539.
Considering I am not using UOB cards a lot, and the 4000 miles not worth to spend the conversion fee, I will give this promo a miss for next month traveling.

This promo must spend $1000-1539, additional miles cap at 4K only, not attractive imho...
