Hi Bros,

Anyone ever hoot things from Nextcom?

So far i compare their price is similar and cheaper than FUWELL (one of the most decent shop at SLS)

The good points is I don't even need to go to SLS and the delivery is FOC, lastly i can use credit card to make payment, unlike SLS they will do extra charges if i with credit card.

Are they reliable?
How was their service?
So far i read from their website, all IT products covered by Local Warranty.

Last time they were very good, but there were several complaints too. So it has become kind of a mixed bag. They have a shopfront in SLS too.

Here's a thread for that:

I have intended to shop at MyNextCom but through a phone conversation, decided against it. I called to enquire on stock for several items and in a couple of instances there was an audible change in his tone and was rather ambiguous of their availability, with a "Er, should have lah."

Subsequently I called several stores and the local distributor to enquire on stock for that item and was informed that it was on backorder till a later month. Now a secondary reason for my call to MyNextCom was due to its history with delays which resulted in order cancellation or oxymoronic in-store pickup.

On Hardwarezone, I stumbled upon Lazada, lazada.sg and Video Pro, videopro.com.sg. Lazada along with its multitude of promo codes was a breeze to work with. I do not know how Video Pro's physical store operates, but their online store left the biggest impression on me. I called with some questions in mind and was greeted by a warmhearted auntie, who promptly provided the necessary information. I decided to shop at videopro.com.sg.

Within hours, I received a call from an ultra cordial and accommodating uncle wanting to make delivery on the same day. I was frankly stupefied for a bit with the expeditiousness of the order. Due to my schedule and we decided to push it to the next day. The uncle was punctual and the transaction couldn't be more seamless. Payment was cash-on-delivery which was a slight inconvenience in my mind, yet in retrospect was a good form of transaction- this wasn't Amazon. More than anything, the interaction with the folks and the effortless purchase experience, are reminiscent of a mom-and-pop shop.

Both MyNextCom and VideoPro have their share of discounts and in this case, I ended up with a better and happier deal with VideoPro and Lazada. But if you were to shop at MyNextCom, it may be best to use cash-on-delivery as the payment method.

Did u compare videopro prices against PC themes prices? As far as i know, Video pro like to mark up prices de. Not sure whats shown in the website, but that is my experience when shopping at the store.

their online store quite irritating. I can't store the items in the cart like Amazon's. MNC will just spam your registered email, then your items will be gone. zzz:s8:

Yes I did and there are some prices lower than PC Themes'. I do not know how Video Pro's physical store operates. We should recognize the $10 delivery fee for order under $100, and free delivery for order over $100 on their online store. Likewise, with PC Themes and other physical retailers, there are other factors involve in purchase, e.g. familiarity, mood, proximity of both parties and cluster price drop.

I would say if not for Lazada, MyNextCom's bundles are very worthwhile. Alas, I am still apprehensive to deal with the ambiguity of MyNextCom. For storefront purchase, I believe PC Themes' the bias here and should be with good reason.

I went to mynextcom's physical store and bought a casing and PSU.
Ended up waiting over an hour plus for the PSU because they took it from the storeroom or something but over an hour really.

It wasn't just me waiting. There was also another customer waiting for his item which he ordered online and chose to pick up. We chatted for quite a bit but he got quite fed up with the waiting time and was going to walk off but the items then arrive at that exact moment.

Definitely a mixed bag. If pickup can make one wait so long, shudder at delivery

Probably pulling stocks from other stores? That's what most of them do.

Fuwell was never known for cheap prices. Their prices were reasonable but seldom the cheapest. I used to shop there for almost everything IT because too busy to shop around for a few dollars difference. Stopped when their customer service went down the tubes.

i5-6500 with whichever motherboard supporting your DDR3L stickd. Best is to go for boards that accepts both DDR3L & DDR4.

DDR4 should be a better choice. Coz DDR3L is considered rare in the market that is saturated with DDR3 (non-L). Next time need to replace RAM still need to be held hostage by the rarity of DDR3L. DDR4 should get more common as time passes.

Tried ordering Casing from MyNextCom before.
Choose Cash on Delivery.
2 Weeks later totally no response from them.
So I e-mail them cancel the order.

After that I tried Video-Pro.
Next Day one nice Aunty call me say my casing no stock can only deliver the next day.
And delivery went smoothly with Cash On Delivery.

MyNextCom 0/10
VideoPro 10/10

Just sharing my experience.

MNC, you have to keep pushing then he will remember. that is why the main reason i do not buy from him anymore. not that i don't want to support him but his standard need to go up before i consider.

don't dare try VP
