Try to the android version from whatsapp website, the version there have google drive backup build in.

Question: In you (all) experience... How hard or easy is it for the Nexus 6P screen to scratch?

My Nexus 5 I did not put on a screen protector. I am wondering should I continue that practice on Nexus 6P? Except, I was told that the Nexus 6P glass is very thin and thus I am inferring that is easy to scratch...???

Anyone can help?

It's Gorilla Glass 3 VS 4. Depends how much you trust Corning.

Yup, I also did not have any SP on my N5, 0 scratch, while I just put an SP on it few months ago (for fun), yet the SP already scratched. Case is more important than SP.

The Chrome bug is annoying. There are artifacts around the edge of the browser based on the picture I am seeing. How to get rid of it?

Use other browser, personally I don't like Chrome, I use Apus browser and Maxthon

Uninstall and reinstall... It's lower version, hence it won't allow you to install on top of existing one.

For those shipped via Lazada Express (LEX), any idea where you can find your tracking #?

There's no tracking number. LEX is like taking a step backwards in time in terms of delivery services. No transparency, no updates, no tracking.

On Friday I wrote in to change to my office address since they only deliver during office hours, no reply. I called on Saturday, the CSO couldn't do nor confirm anything.
I called this morning, CSO says not sure, will try, no info, probably delivering to old address. I chided them for not being able to change an address over so many days even with their own delivery service. She told me choice of courier service is up to the seller - meaning it's Convergent's choice? If so, I strongly recommend never to use LEX. Ninjavan sounds much better, but I suspect it is more costlier.

You can manually override installation with an ADB command from the computer. This also means that you'll have to download the WhatsApp APK from their website first. After which, just do:

adb install -r -d [i]/path/to/the/downloaded/[/i]WhatsApp.apk

That will help you install on top of the current WhatsApp installation without losing data and cache folders.

i also never put any tgsp on my n5. all along no sratch at all. but suay drop on the road whole screen cracked.

so now 6P i put tgsp is to hope it can prevent the screen from shattering.

excellent, I just followed your instructions and it works. Google Drive backup prompt appears immediately upon starting whatsapp.
