Today installer came with Aztech 7009 and speed remain at old speed.
Called backend and they said they will rectify it.

Since it's not installer fault, I let him go and waiting for backend to settle it.
My Asus AC87U is being disconnected while waiting for this rectification.

Just called 1688 and now they claimed both hers and backend side confirmed it's 1Gbps plan now.

But speed is still within 500mbps....

Connect your PC directly to ONT and test.

Huh? Can plug in directly to ONT?

Think he meant direct wired connection.

The advertised speed is based on Singapore servers only. If the website you are assessing is based abroad, they will claim its not their problem.

The only difference I noticed with an upgrade is that when I'm gaming and someone in the family is streaming movies, I'm not affected. In fact, browsing sites like qoo10, taobao, etc have become much slower. :s11:

Bro.... I know what he means just that I'm clueless that we can directly plugged to ONT directly.

Singtel got their own sites for testing speed and should get our paid speed definitely.

Btw I'm on Singtel Fibre Home Entertainment 1Gbps with Mio Tv and Digital Voice.

It's same plan previously with the upgrade from 500mbps to 1Gbps.

Disconnect my Asus AC87U temporarily and using newly given Aztech 7009 to eliminate all issues before hooking them back.

Direct ONT connection will not allow u to access internet due to the fact the connection requires vlan configuration. Unless just have a special software on your computer to do it, if not its impossible to access internet by doing direct ont.

Why don't u use ac87u instead? Ac87u has an iptv profile which supports 1gbps home fibre..

Plug directly to ONT is possible if you are Unlimited Fibre Plan with no vlan tagging.

Yes Bro.
Some forumer has the same reply on others thread.
But too bad my plan does not belong to this category so never bother to test it.

Bro,
Would love to use back AC87U as per my previous 500mbps with IPTV Profile.
But guess it's better to nail down this issues with their backend first.
Or worse case scenario the Aztech 7009 really cannot make it than they got to compensate with alternative solutions.

Have you tried doing speedtest again? The profile may only take effect from midnight. If still 500 ask Singtel do profile refresh

Yes Bro.
Do that dunno how many times :s22:
Clear browser cache and restart PC too and only use the Singtel own SpeedTest.

Only take effect after midnight?
It sound ridiculous when they should activate all those necessary prior to the installation.

Sekali is your pc got problem.. hahas. Anyway I guess it will be obvious when they come and do a test..

Instead of waiting for them to sort out, I would rather try ac87u if I were you.. at least that eliminates the possibility of 7009 if ac87u concurs..
