if board decides to review only at end of season, nobody will join knowing that the manager's future is uncertain.

Why would any striker doing well presently want to join United? They would have noted what happened to RVP, Chicharito, ADM, Rooney, and Martial after his bright start. The fact is that the way we play don't provide enough service for our strikers. Yes Martial and Lingard have maybe been wasteful with some chances that a better striker could have finished off, but those are few and far between. Unless we bring in Messi who can single-handedly change games, otherwise any other striker will suffer in the way we're playing.

Much as I'm against LVG's methods, I'm against sacking him now.

In the first place, a coach deserving to manage us must always have a P. That differentiates him from Moyes in my view. The fact that the P is s*** is another matter. But some P's will take time for players to adapt, and perhaps the players are not doing justice to the P, don't have the technical ability or brains to execute it properly. So 3 years and a big budget would be more than enough time for him to bring his P to life, and if he still doesn't then he must go. In the meantime he needs to acknowledge the concerns that the P as it stands is not getting us anywhere, and we need to have a sharper edge in the final third of the pitch, even if it means compromising a bit on the basic P.

This inflexibility of his, whether in the way we play, the way he train or selects players, is a bigger concern. I have a feeling that the players are being constantly watched during training, because he thinks he and his assistant can pick up a player's mental state and game readiness just by watching them in training, and not by how he can push or motivate them before/during the game. That's in stark contrast to SAF, who we now know from Kagawa usually leave the training to the coaching staff, not getting too involved himself. I don't know what happened to Young but can only surmise that he must have been goofing around in training. I also don't like the way he has handled Valdes and RVP - don't think it helps in bringing in big names to the club.

For all that, I'm still willing to see how the P may develop over the second half of the season. If it's still stuck in a rut without us improving our game, then perhaps it's better we get a new gaffer in the summer.

there's another issue now - Ed.

Ed is a megalomaniac satki JPM banker. hes a deal makers. he thrives on bringing world record transaction to man utd. every transfer window, he has to make 1 deal happen. mata, AdM, martial.

he is causing inbalance to the squad by doing this. by his mega purchases, the coach has to fit the players in.

We've become a Real now. the owners buy a player, the coach has to play him. who will arrive in Jan? im happy for ledwandoski, although i think bayern wont sell him.

But isn't that what Man Utd has been doing? Buying at least 1 superstar every season to boost our title chances as well as jersey sales.

It's also usually what the fans demanded right? Otherwise no world class player how to win UCL

I prefer more soccer analysis than bashing... :s13:

Starting to bore me... but I know things can only get better. How or what, only the Board can decide. We voice so much also make ourselves more upset only... changes nothing.

Martial
Young/Mata
A.P Carrick Fellaini Goss?
Jackson Blind McNair Jones
DDG

I got problem naming the line up leh.... But I like to see Young back as 2nd striker.. he got the speed, he can stretch play... and he is hungry...

There is absolutely no truth in what you are alleging. Even LVG has stated when queried over the Pedro issue that the decision on the player is his and once he has decided on whom he wanted, it is left to Ed to do the business part of which and he also stated that his working with Ed went very well and to which point of time, Ed has always delivered whom he wanted.

The fact is that, there are 3 parties into a deal. 1. United must want the player. 2. The club that owned the player must be willing to sell and 3. The player must be keen in joining United.

So, there is no truth in what you are claiming. What you are claiming is more like RM and the very least Liverpool which decision on the player to bring in is by the committee.

In as far as United is cncerned, this was never the case. Which player to bring in is by the Manager. The owner doesn't interfere in the footballing aspect and Ed is not part of the footballing aspect as he is the CEO and he runs the general management of the club - very much a rep for the owner that co-ordinate and support the people handling the footballing aspect and he doesn't decide for the people running the footballing aspect.

He only make sure that he has to complete the business side of things and deliver the player that the footballing people wanted and based upon the 3 parties to a deal conditions. Thus LVG cannot demand for a player that the club that doesn't want to sell or the player that doesn't want to come to United. The overpricing part and the negotiation part is Ed's job and Ed would refer to LVG if he finds it okay if the player is priced over the moon and if LVG still wants the palyer, like the case of Martial, ED will still deliver him the player.

I know some people here who likes LVG and who are fans of LVG would try to deflect the blames to others and not to LVG for his poor performance to date.

With so many players out or suspended... it's a good time to know our reserves... I am seeing Varela too similar to Rafael... but he does tackles well...

Jackson... I find him not fast enough for a wingback... and stays on foot too much for a fullback for my liking...

AP44, more dangerous on the ball at the moment compared to Memphis... Give me a choice....

Memphis
AP44 Mata Martial
Carrick Fellaini
Blind McNair Jones Varela

Between Young and AP, I personally prefer AP to be the inside forward.
He probably not as quick as Young down the flank, but when he does cut inside, he holds onto the ball better.

But having them both on the same flank cannot work, as the side will be exposed. AP can't defend much, and seems quite reckless at times when defending..
