squad thin is one thing. that ** pairing is just asking for trouble. and u think of those injured and try to piece out the best possible ** when all are fit, its still lacking quality.

He knew before the end of the last season that he need a full fledge centre back but he did nothing about it. Instead of buying in and have two quality specialist per department, he opted for versatility and players that can play different positions and maintain thin squad. He thought Blind can save his soul.

The fact is he was trying for jack of all trade and master of none type of players. Sir Alex only "boh pian" than get player to do make shift when both players from the same department are down.

Getting wingers to play full backs and full backs to take corners - only one manager is good enough for that.
