Uncle Lotti go Bayern, will he bring Ronaldo with him?
2nd best person he worked with appeared to be Uncle Lotti?
Based on our recent formation, a variation of 4-3-3, whom's your best in each position? Given that they are all fit?
My personal best, in terms of merit at the moment.
Memphis
Young Herrera Martial
Schneiderlin Bastian
Rojo Blind Smalling Darmian
DDG
Memphis - Sucks on the wings, sucks with running with the ball. When on the flank, he too static, wait for ball comes to feet than action. Against Norwich they just apply the "stop the ball from feet" and he is nullified. But when Memphis is upfront, he grabs his chances, and his run behind the defenders is ok, because he is faster than Rooney, bulkier, he starts 2 second late also can force his way and get into good position.
Cons - He needs to work with ball to body, ball to head. And go to the ball instead of waiting for the ball to come to him.
Young - If what LVG says is true, he is finding Young too big a risk for injury. He is impt and he does not want to risk him. Young is best improved player on par with Mike Smalling. Perhaps his experience in EPL allows him to better outwit the younger faster defenders, something that Memphis is too raw with. Helps out well with defending.
Cons - Sometime he is over enthu and thinks that he is in the swimming pool.
Herrera - Shoots from outside the box, able to work in close quarter, clever on and off the ball, awareness of players position on the field. Close down players fast and when needed, put in strong tackles. When ever he plays, the teams tempo goes up, but pairing him with Bastian without Schneiderlin is a concern. If the setup is right, and given the freedom to create, he will be freeing all the runners Left, Right and Centre behind the defenses at will.
Cons - Sometime he tend to disappear from the game when ball does not get to his feet. Only player we can rely on for a moment of magic other than Martial or Mata.
Martial - Revelation of the season. Many will think why I prefer him on the right flank? Why not attack? As his hold up is super, and finishing is composed? Well, none better than him now to draw defenders to open up the opposition. When he drift to the inside right position which Mata occupies now, not many left back is able to win against him from DDG long balls, or balls over the top. If a DM were to come and tag him, it opens up the middle for Herrera or Bastian to operate from deep. If a ** were to follow him out to the inside right, pocket will be open for Memphis to run onto. Rooney is too slow for that. And Martial is equally effective running down the left or right flank. I find it rather wasteful in putting him up top when his influence can be greater down the 2nd third of the pitch.
Cons - No better finisher than him up front. May see more attacks but less on target.
If interested... then I go on... haha
