Wah i see NT rates in SG like no good. Some kakis say change in taiwan better? So should i change min amount here den change more in taiwan?

At Arcade Money Changer it is about 22.45 and from Bank of Taiwan website it is about 22.77

So if you change $3000 you get 67350 and 68310 respectively.
The difference is barely enough to catch a cab from Taipei to the airport.
While it is an appreciable difference, it's not gonna ruin your holiday, I'm quite certain.

So sometimes out of the blue, arcade does give surprises.

From what i understand, yes for Megabank and BoT..

For Megabnk branches out of the airport, no transaction fees..

DBS Taiwan yes, NT$100 or 1% whichever is higher..

• Calculation: 924 - 8 = 916. And 20800/916 = 22.70 s31
• Airport has a lower rate than banks, so they charge a lower admin fee.
• But exchange rate fluctuate very quickly

in another words, still more hua than changing in SG

Just exchange NT$ at 台北桃园机场, rate is $22.76. Both MegaBank and BOT are same rate with admin fee of NT$30 per tran.

Not too difficult to spot...

To save merely that $10 $20 that you have to travel to a tw bank to change? I think it's a lost of opportunity cost (time) by saving that few bucks. May likely spoiled your trip too if you lost your way. Change in sg or tw airport saves u a lot of precious time.

Only 30ntd saved, if you find a bank in town.
Unless you are changing really huge amt at dbs tw.
That will make a huge difference to deviate from your trip.
Just my thoughts.

Bt if Taoyuan airport gt 24hr counter n rate is like 22.7x, not convincing to change at 22.47 imho. Almost 1k also. Then again, if gt ppl lazy to find at airport then can consider the slightly better than arcade rate.

There is no need to find it.
It's all along the course of coming out of departure hall.
Come out of plane on the way to immigration, has 2 counters.
Clear immigration wait for luggage, has counters.
After clear Custom officers, also has counters.
Lastly out of everything, left side has another counter.
Must i count?

But of course for convenience sake and afraid that the counters are busy or not man by anybody, get in Singapore and get him/her to deliver to you.

Wah A+ for effort.
Your points are flawed though.

You offering to change 20800 for 924 ( = 22.51 )
Arcade today is 22.65, i.e. $924 can get me 20928. Wow extra NT$128 !! Can buy few bottles of drink at 7-11

DBS Taiwan buys SGD at 23.145, i.e. $924 = 21367. Take away 1% fee, and left with 21153. Wow extra NT$350 compared to your rate!

Even Bank of Taiwan and Mega Bank are better than your rate. Theirs is 22.82, so 924 gets 21085. Take away the NT$30 transaction fee at airport, and still > 21000 left.

Which brings me to the last point: The exchange counters at the airport are all over the place. No lack of them. One would have to be literally blind to miss all of them.
