I hope they release a new ucs falcon

So people who missed out can still buy a ucs version

10179 will still be 10179. It's value will not be affected. Its still the original and best version

I think it will be affected somewhat, or at least those in between who want but find it too ex will go for new UCS MF. Not everyone so hardcore will splash that much moolah for 10179.

Yes u can use it to pay for 20% item but the price u be paying will be the price b4 any discount. E.g. lego @ $100, storewide 20%.. so technically u juz need to pay $80, but if u use shopper cheque, the price of the lego would be $100 rather than $80..

Yah. what u said is only if it is a storewide 20% sale. For non-storewide promotions, eg this weekend, the shopping cheque can still be used after the 20% discount. Meaning. price of lego is $100, 20% off bring it down to $80, jus pay the $80 with shopping cheque. try clarifying with the more old bird cashiers.

This kind of articles only encourage buying multiple sets to flip. I've nothing against that from a business PoV but it reduces my chances as a true blue afol to obtain popular sets when ppl are snapping up limited stocks.

:p

I like how they only mention that one and only set that is able to fetch that amount and forgot to mention that over 10,000 sets released in the past couldn't even reach half of that in terms of percentage profit.

Kiasu Singaporeans who saw this one-sided report will no doubt all start rushing to the stores as I'm typing this sentence to snap up all the big sets :s13:

No wonder the Metro sale these few days so many sets gone :D

1st version no doubt, but no necessarily the best. Newer versions generally better as they improve a lot on the design and techniques used etc.

Is 75055 imperial star destroyer EOL?
Prices seemed to have shot up.

If so, its life span seemed short.

Just checked brickset, looks like it was EOLed late last year at all the major markets!

I was thinking of opening one set and build a larger scale version, now wondering should I go head and do it.

I will have to retire some other toys in order to free up some shelf space :(

Just checked on the net, length of 6211 is 58cm whereas length of 75055 is 50cm, a huge difference. If I were to upsize it, have to go beyond 65cm at least which would need a lot of grey bricks (which I don't have currently).

Though I don't understand why the length of old 6211 and new 75055 ISD had such a big 8cm difference even though both sets had about the same number of bricks (1367 Vs 1359).

And 75055 price is 30% more expensive than 6211 with lesser number of minifigures some more!

Metro stock levels are not fantastic also. Too many reservations. If I was a star wars fan, I will be super pissed shopping on a saturday.

Nevertheless, no one fight over bionicle with me. Everytime go got full shelf. It's like condemned for clearance :s13:

I do have a feeling TRU may have clearance sales for the Bionicles this year seeing it wasn't selling well here.
