don't be too sure.. go and watch "the greed of man" or talk to any old bird investor who has been around during the AFC.

I am old bird investor. And yes, I agree it is possible to go below 2000. Depends on how this crisis plays out. They key is dont average down too early. Be patient.

I raised some cash recently to increase my ammo. All crashes are a huge opportunity if u hv ammo. No ammo, no joy.

I see people like chopra getting ready. I m sure that there are many people here with huge warchests getting ready to hoot stocks and property when the crash comes.

During peace time just buy undervalued stocks,
During war-time aka GFC like scenario they can easily borrow ammunition to whack.

It hit 800 points during 1997 AFC. But this is so long ago that I think this statistic is redundant. Use the 1500 during GFC.

I've went through 1997 Asia financial crisis

I remembered clearly one of the stocks our family held fell by 40% very quickily. It rebounded a little and my relative bought more to cost average down, only to see it fell by another 40% in the next week.

SGD also fell by 20% in FX during the crisis ...never say never...

vix contracting liao, looks like selloff over, s&p500 consolidating liao, think today or tomolo going to rally over 1% , go back to 2000 level again...and then we wait and see if the big shorts come in by then, somehow i think this sharp selloff may make the market rally to 2200...
