I am considering MSIG for my upcoming trip to Australia. My situation is that i will travel to Melbourne via carrier A and come back to Singapore via carrier B, hence, different itinerary numbers. Question is, will there be any issue if i were to submit claim in either leg of the journey?

I presume the domestic flight from Melbourne to Sydney will not be covered, right? What if it's a road trip?

Hi Gamma, if you get TravellerShield travel insurance, these different itinerary numbers does not matter, and Domestic flights and road trips are covered. Just select the right area - Area 2 in this case, and the correct dates for when you are travelling.

Need recommendation for travel insurance plan for winter holiday.

Departure flight: 8 Feb Time: 2200
Return flight: 22 Feb Time: 0035
Destination: Japan

Is it advisable to cover from 8 Feb to 22 Feb, as we will only arrive on 09 Feb morning.

Need coverage for few days of skiing and maybe snow mobile, all within resort proper route.

Please advise the company plan and type of policy.

Was comparing the following,

QBE / AXA (does not cover ski) / AIG(Most expensive)
Appreciate other recommendation.

Appreciate your advise.

Thank you.

Years ago, i've been searching for a good insurance plan and Tenet (now known as Tenet sompo) is the one to go for imo. Not the cheapest but coverage wise is better then all.

Plus they have this new plan called "Go Japan" that can offer better coverage and assistance. I just bought them for my upcoming trip. :p

But now it seems that Ntuc income has caught up in terms of coverage.

You might want to check them out. i've recently come to know that Ntuc has another plan that can cover pre-existing condition which is a PLUS for those elderly traveller.

70

But i'm actually leaning more on those 50s-60s type of elderly which a majority will have some sort of medical conditions ie. Hypertension etc

I've seen cases of insurance companies disputing claims base on existing medical conditions etc.. so this coverage that can include existing condition is a huge + imo

Hi folks,

TravellerShield is now having 35% off. Promo is only up to 24 Jan, so do take the chance and buy now if you're in the market for travel insurance.

Compared to NTUC, still high.

I quoted one for 9D, China, for a family (1A1C) is about
142.25 for platinum
97.5 premier
71.5 classic

Coz it doesn't allow us to choose how many adults in one family.

I chose NTUC instead.

Anyone can share how do you buy insurance when you travel as a family including parents or PILs? In a case where you have 5 people ( your nuclear family = yourself + spouse + your children), does it meant have to buy a separate individual for your parent/parents/etc?

So far, I have not found any insurance that covers for 5 people which includes (nuclear family + parents/ILs) All insurance refers Family covers as (Spouses + Children).

Separate into two families.

Seems Ace Insurance is no longer doing travel insurance.

Any recommendations for annual plans? Need one from March onwards for worldwide coverage.

axa and msig one has "group" option which is similar to your case and mine also. :) but "group" won't be cheaper la, unless assuming no kids involved.

so got kids must buy "family" + "group" if there are more than 2A + 2C. for some policies, all the aduits and children need not be related so to speak.

NTUC income also have 35% discount. Their coverage and rates about the same as DBS MSIG.
