Duno if this has been posted before...
My sis bought 6s+ recently, and was underwhelmed with the vibration mode.
When vibration mode is on and calls/msgs coming in:
- put flat on table (both front and back), totally zero sound and zero vibration, = totally miss it unless you are looking at the phone and know that a call/msg is coming in.
- put in pocket (not tight), totally missed the vibration as well.
- feel the left, right and bottom sides, vibration is STRONG.
- feel the front (screen), back and top side, zero vibration.
Online feedback seems to be mixed. For certain there is no smoke without fire, and there are indeed pple complaining about missing calls/msgs not because cannot hear (some "righteous" pple are critical of it), but rather cannot feel. However there are also pple who preferred the taptic engine vibration (so that means they can feel it?)... so I duno whether there is really a defect in my sis's phone or somehow just gotta adapt. But how to adapt when really can't feel or hear anything unless one of the left/right/bottom side is in contact with your body or some object that will rattle upon "transferring of vibration energy"?
