Its not an indicator, its a simple cause and effect thing. The effects of high COE prices take time to filter thru the economy, likewise it takes time for low COE prices to have an impact on general price levels.

CNY incoming??
Like China, i think they will support the market until at least this Friday.
If stocks crash for this week, it is probably bad omen for the rest of the year?

Probably due to the slowdown in economy and market sell off. The O&G engineers and bankers bonuses kena cut, can't afford to buy big cars Liao.

Don't think so, last year after CNY reopen, China stock market up like over 10% within a day(not sure if i remember wrongly).

Most people will buy in because of uncertainties gone. :s8:

That was before the market went parabolic (and suffered the subsequent bust). Betting on a China market recovery is the same thing as betting on a blumont or liongold recovery.

I share your sentiment.. last time always hear staff from keppel go hoot new cars in groups after getting their bonuses.. Though I hear they are still getting bonus for 2015, I believe most are afraid for their jobs so no more hooting
