I just happened to chance upon this page when I'm researching for ways to properly learn Forex trading. What do you guys think about online Forex learning courses like theforexguy, nial fuller, 2ndskies or forex4noobs? Do these courses have any edge in them? TIA
Trading and Exchanges: Market Microstructure for Practitioners by Larry Harris gives you a very good introduction to how the internals of this business is being conducted and how dealers, commercial interest, hedge funds, and arbitragers trade, they even have a topic on manipulation too, like painting the tape up to sucker the breakout traders in, then when the fundamentals come in, let the breakout traders crack from realizing their wrong positions and let price drop all the way down, while market makers continually quoting the bids all the way lower to mark the positions down, and that's how false break out occur and why it occurs, if the professionals sell it outright, they risk being discovered and mah not get a fill, and market makers might not want to be exposed too, what better way than to hunt the stops then sell to u. it documents how this business is conducted, if you study it, you would understand how price moves come about, the rest is all about learning how to read price action to understand when these moves are in play and how to capitalize on them.
you could also read the classic, reminiscence of a stock operator, about jesse livermore, professionals like paul tudor jones are inspired by his story.
