My returns from airport have always been with UberX. The app is improved and you can tell the driver from the app which terminal and door you will be waiting at.

maybe you can use grab taxi and meet at carpark but not sure the security will find out or not

Yeah I always try to take UberX from airport going back home as it is slightly cheaper and I get to earn hotel points and credit card points at the same time.

No. Uber will prompt you before about the surge pricing. So you will see if if 1.5x or 2x. Then you can wait a while then book.

The cab drivers always face super black when I board at airport and say "uncle, Simei". I assume cause they queued so long then get such a short trip.
