use iPerf to test instead.

Internet speed test for me never seem to give the same results twice.

Maybe test by downloading a game on steam? If it maxes out your bandwidth, your internet should be fine

For Windows 7 could be Flash issue especially for download around 300mbps.

Try to use their (local) Speed test and refer to my result on Windows 7 & Chrome.

use iPerf to test instead.

Since iperf requires two computers, so you install the server on one computer and then the client on the other computer, right?

If using public iperf server, then the speed will depend on the public server just like Speedtest.

iperf seems for internal network speedtest to me. Isn't it?
2x pc, 1 as server and 1 as client.

I have no problem running the speedtest from Starhub website.
If I can get Windows 10 and Edge to get that kind of speed, I don't think is Starhub issue.
(If you open the link at the last line of post #1)
Just wonder anybody encounter this descrepancy like me. Haha.....

Of course any expert can describe the descrepany , that would be much appreciated.

In my experience, there is a slight difference ( not huge ) when running SpeedTest between HTML5 vs Flash environment.

Microsoft Edge may use different Adobe flash player version from Windows 7 Chrome.. &or may run differently, not sure.

It is said that due to a particular Adobe flash player version.

My earlier post speedtest.net result from Ookla is using HTML 5 as standalone application without flash on Windows 7.

This result is on another laptop on Windows 10 Home with Microsoft Edge.
