Hi all, intending to get myself a new rig which is able to play some of the hottest games smoothly such as BF4. No need RAM, monitor, HDD. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Msi r9 280x is roughly the same performance as gtx770. And is a freaking huge price gap. $479 vs $619.

This is due to price market instability atm as this amd card is new in the market and compete on nvidia counterparts.

If you want to get the same performance for nvidia. You gotta pay more by $140.

Sorry can you help me again? I have decided to increase my budget to $1600. I need RAMs this time and I would prefer a Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 as my case. No need DVD writer.

Also, can I run my PC without a HDD but with a SSD? What are the downfalls?

SSD nt meant for holding large amt of data... Best is to use a HDD for that. besides, 128/256gb isnt enough for sure. With movies, games, videos, music, etc.... My 1tb hdd alrdy taken up 244gb of space le.... for games n movies.

Royfrosty alrdy gave an arc midi r2 in his recommendation. As for rams, can get kingston value rams 2x4gb 1600mhz @$9x... If want bling bling with led, can consider avexir core led 2x4gb 1600mhz @$115...
