still wondering if i should take the kb and mouse. why take 290 over the gtx equivalent? i read here that 290 very hot right?

Ya amd gpu runs hotter idw.

Yes 290/x is a hot card. It is suppose to run at operating temps of 94deg. It is only the Cores are hot. The rest Vrams, vrms are well cooled by the heatsink.

On twin frozr it runs around 84deg. +/- 2degs.

If you look at most of the gpus including nvidias gtx770/780 range it is slightly lower a bit. Normal temps for 770/780 is a mere 76deg. Definitely slightly cooler than 290.

And im talking about non ref cards. Which pretty much most of the gpu manufacturers have done well in their heatsink cooler design.

And 290/x have a new design heatsink in their new batches. It is said to widthstand up to 500w of thermal output. Im not surprise people with the new heatsink are able to shave off a few more degs. Perhaps 80deg??

Take the vanguard instead if you think is worth to pay for 5 years warranty. Or msi b85 g43 gaming + i5-4460 ~ $383.
