1 PSU 2 systems

Anyone try to power two motherboards using one PSU? I think it is done by crypto miners. Just wondering if there are any drawbacks to this, provided the PSU has enough power.

think u got it the other way round, miners were using multiple cheaper psus to power 1 system. this would allow them to cram as many gpus for as little other cost for everything else, duplicating stuff like cpu and mobo would only increase the latter.

i suppose as long as the power consumption of both systems are within the rated power of the psu it should be fine.

Thanks. I hope to increase efficiency by increasing idle power from 30W to 60W for my 750W PSU, and also improve the longevity of the PSU by bringing up peak consumption to around 350W.
