1st timer one week Taipei more than enough...

The hill you are talking about is Elephant Hill, the one with the view of Taipei 101..Yushan is in Nantou..

the winter rain is also just very light drizzles only.

days that it rains, it gets a little colder though i never worried about low temperatures

I think you might want to try and use Google maps to identify their location and gather them first? By doing so, at the same time, you can read up on information of the places.

I feel Gixxerfied is already very nice and have already provided a long list for consideration. :o

usually, tropical rainforest climate's(Singapore) rain is the heaviest compared to everywhere else.
