Wait for promo. Now Nvidia give free game, after sell game only pay about $350 for Gtx 970. More worth it

Sian leh. Wait until when sia? Haha. I hoping to assemble everything by next weekend.

Btw would it be difficult for a total noob to assemble a PC by myself? Like just watch youtube or some online guide to do it?

Ok guys I'm probably going for the GTX 960. I don't think there's much difference from the R9 380 for real world applications. Most reviews I see about 10% better benchmarks. But price is 18% more.

Do let me know if this is a very stupid decision. Haha! If not will probably hoot tonight on lazada.

Actually its ok. But just to let you know that 10% is alot of difference esp. when frame rates are low.

Okay you got me there. :s13:

I came back home and was still running round the websites thinking which to buy. The R9 380 is obviously the better card. But more expensive. So I was still on the fence.

Opened up this thread, saw your post, and pulled the trigger. Haha.

$50 is an okay price to pay to avoid regret. Haha.

The 380 uses more power and produce more heat compared to the 960.

380 needs 70watts more so you have to get a larger psu.

Or should I get a larger one just in case next time want to crossfire? :s13:

no point. Just get a powerful card and call it a day. Many xfire can face certain issues while gaming.

Try get 600+? Its better to be safe since you getting a power hungry card. Another thing will be that a higher capacity gives u headroom to play around with overclocking your gpu in the future if you want to :)
