Then add mining tax = S$749 / S$799 to be cheaper than 1080

custom cards available for pre-order already... is it worth it to purchase graphic cards from amazon rather than local? i mean the prices are cheaper online compared to SLS

depends. the only difference is warranty.
i'm not sure what the turnaround time is like these days for the local distri, but if u buy from usa u may have to rma back to usa.

note you have to add 7%gst to the final price paid, if you buy anything over sgd400 worth and do direct ship over

It's better to get a Nvidia volta or AMD navi for the "future". Particularly volta, if you are a nvidia only fan, since it has a proper hardware scheduler for DX12.

The price isn't gonna be very friendly. Considering on paper it is very close to GTX1080. There is a big price gap between the 1070 to 1080 now. Low $6xx to mid high $8xx.

So this 1070ti will be priced in the high $7xx

Siao liao my 1070 ... but if it's high $7XX, maybe you can call it a different product segment

There should be a range of card models spread across it's pricing bracket.

Launch to shelf date should be quite accurate.(+1 day/weekend diff @ most)
Anyway, most will wait for more brand range to be available b4 making any decisions.
