10days itinerary

Hi Guys,

19 May to 29 May
I've already planned out 5 days in Taipei and Jiu fen,

Still planning out the last 5 days

Trying to find a cab driver for Taichung for 1 day

Am trying to plan out a trip to Alisan, is it convenient to travel there by public transport?

Any recommendations ? Will be using Taipei hotel as a base for all my stay in taiwan

If you already book your Taipei hotel for straight 10 days, dont bother going to Alishan(Min 2D1N).. Train over to Chiayi Station on Tze-Chiang Limited Express is 2hrs+, bus up to main area about 1hr30mins to 2hrs. Main area need 1/2 day..And still got places like Fenchihu..And most ppl would wana stay for sunrise the next morning. Anyway, now no Sakura so IMHO no pt heading up.

How is ur 5 days Taipei segment like? 1st time?

On 21st too relaxing... I went Beitou late morning, then Danshui, still got time relax and went Shilin early.

i suggest you stay in taichung for 1 - 2 days instead of making a day trip there. Even if you had made booking for 10 days in taipei, some hotels/minsu allow you to make changes without any changes de.

Usually we would use the 1st few days and head out of Taipei rather than the last few days..

Since arriving early, no time wasted and also most shopping would be done at Taipei..So nt wise to carry items and luggages from for example Taichung to Taoyuan..

Day 1 - 19th May
- Land at 6am.
- Wait till apm if you gonna get data card, if not just proceed to take the bus to Taipei Main Station
- Check in for hotels is usually 3pm but however u can deposit your luggage, take ur needed stuff and head out.
- Beitou Hotspring
- Danshui Old Street(Reach about 2pm)
- Fisherman Wharf + Lovers Bridge for sunset(Pls check sunset timing for that day)
- Shilin NM(Alight Jiantan Station)

Day 2 - 20th May
- C.K.S Memorial Hall(Dont have to reach that early)
- Taipei Underground Mall(Reach after 12)
- Longshan Temple
- Huaxi St NM
- Ximending(Reach here after 5pm)

Day 3 - 21st May
- Jinguashi(Reach about 0930H)
- Jiufen Old Street(Reach about 12noon)
- Shifen
- Keelung's Miaokou NM

Day 4 - 22nd May
- Taipei East Shopping Zone(Start in the noon)
- S.Y.S Memorial Hall
- Taipei 101 & surroundings
- Shida NM(Taipower Station)

Day 5 - 23rd May
- Yehliu Geo Park
- Golden Waterfall(黃金瀑布)
- Nanya Rock
*Above would be great if you book a driver
