11 day Itinerary

This is my first trip to Japan ( gonna backpack). Please review my itinerary whether there are any places I missed out in my journey, or if things that can be improved. However the guesthouses are all booked already so its too late to change the places I'll be staying.

27-28 Dec
Tokyo, Ginza (stay 1 night), while waiting for friend to arrive in Japan
28-29 Dec - 7 day JR PASS starts
Matsumoto
Nagano(stay 1 night)
29-30 Dec
Zekoji temple
Snow monkey park
Shibu onsen
Harano (stay 1 night)
30-31 Dec
Kiso valley:Tsumago, Magome
Kyoto ( stay from 30th Dec - 1 Jan)

1-2 Jan
Kanazawa (stay 1 night)
2-3 Jan
Shirakawa-Go Village
Takayama (stay 1 night)

would be better to cover all the places in chubu (nagano, kanazawa etc), then kansai (kyoto, osaka), then back to tokyo.

1 day for kyoto is too short. wun have enuf time even for main attractions there.

Same. It's touch and go. Just my personal preference to enjoy at a slower pace.
