u know the problem with hwz admins/ mods?
when u all are happy, we are happy, we can joke.
when u all not happy, we cannot joke. when we are not happy, u all still can joke.
not saying everyone of u are like that, but there are quite a few of u who are like this.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It is always good to receive constructive feedback that may encourage learning and rethinking of processes.
Trying to distill the actions of moderators/administrators into a collective is a futile exercise as the group is as diverse as the personalities bearing the positions.
Clear-cut disregard of forum rules are usually handled as a matter of course, without eyebrows raised. While interpreting forum guidelines, however, mods and admins may make mistakes due to a lack of understanding/misunderstanding, from being emotional or by getting personally involved in a topic matter, etc. Or such infractions are simply disagreeable to you, clarifications notwithstanding.
We have all been in school...the remit of teachers is to mould young minds through the sharing of knowledge. The execution of the idea, though, can be as varied as the number of individuals involved. Likewise, judgment-call moderation you see on the forum boards. See football referees as Exhibit B... To moderate or referee by consensus is not the panacea.
The only way moderation can be consistently uniformed would be for A.I.-moderators to take over. Then, everything would be dealt with in a binary manner. While it may seem ideal, the nuances that separate us from mere robots would cease to have any meaning.
Live and let live? Enjoy the weekend!

tl:dr Apologies. Mods/admins are far from perfect. Give constructive feedback. Hope for improvement.
