Hi folks, I am looking to first-time DIY (or at least pick my parts and get someone to assemble for me) a gaming rig for 1440p gaming. Looking at AMD gpu, and intending to use it with a 27" monitor with a refresh rate just above 120hz. Any advice on the below (subject to part availability)?

RX 7800XT (Powercolour Hellhound)
Ryzen 5 7600
B650 Aorus Elite AX motherboard
Some dual channel 32gb DDR5 ram
Corsair RM750e 80+ Gold ATX 3.0
Thermalright Assassin X 120
Some cheap case fans (no idea)
Corsair 4000D Airflow TG white casing

yep u can follow my reco suggested by deepblue if u are not picky about aesthetics and/or dont need specific features from the aorus elite mobo. the 7800xt hellhound is also quite a popular model that has been oos until recently, so best to snag it while its still available.

try snag your GPU during the one of the Lazada sales... seems like ever sale, one of the PC store will have their promotion sale also...
i got mine at the price below during 11.11 (the $8 every $80)+ Vii PC promotion sale.....some ppl able to get the limited Lazada vouchers for even better discount

i got mine below with little effort to collect the vouchers.....i read ppl got even more discount.

Asus Dual 4070 - $803 (the 7800XT was low $700)..
adata xpg lancer rgb 2x 16gb 6000c30 ddr5 - $142
plus a lot of other useless stuff

only difficult to find the CPU + M/B combo that u want cheap online..its best buy from SLS stores.

1440p gaming no issues including MSFS. the 7800XT should be slightly better vs 4070...just my kid like NVidia more (dont expect very high frame rates and settings though)

I gotten a Powercolour Hellhound 7800XT for $710 during 12.12. Wait for 1.1 if in a rush, if not 6.6 might be better

Nitro+ is top tier for Powercolour so that's a good deal.
Eh... isn't that Sapphire meh ? 2 yr warranty though, not an issue if one is frequent upgrader
