$1500 budget build

Hey guys. I'm looking to build a PC for around $1500. Ill use it for gaming and browsing. This includes CPU and monitor! I don't need OS because I can probably get it from school through dreamspark.

The build I've came up with
i5 4570
Asrock H87 Performance Fatal1ty
Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM
Gigabyte GTX 760
Western Digital 1TB Blue
Samsung DVD drive
Plextor M5P 128GB SSD
Seasonic M12II 520W
Fractal Design R4.

I haven't chose a monitor yet though. Another question is so I need an SSD?

SSD only launches applications much faster, lower heat and longer lifespan.

Doesn't help in gaming.

Rather save the money for better gfx.

On mobile. Comment later. Lol.

On the question on SSD, according to my experience, it definitely a must-get item. currently my cpu start up to window in less than 20sec. my last pc, i guess more than 2-3 min? personal preferance on the start up speed.

Get an ssd for os and games and hdd for movies and whatnot.

Monitor can get U2312HM @ $255. 1080p 60hz with input lag of 0.6ms, seems like a pretty good monitor

One thing i realise about this thread.. So much talk on the parts and all, but yet no prices were calculated overall.. There is a chance that it may overshot $1500...

My build is almost the same as you except I don't need a monitor. I am getting it next week from Fortran.
Here's the build that he recommended. $1414 including delivery. Should last a good 2-3 years.

RAM: kingston 8gb ddr3 1600 cl 11
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 760 2GB OC Edition
SSD: Plextor m5s 128GB
Asus 24x DVDRW
HDD: Western digital 1TB Blue
Power supply: FSP Raider 550w
OS: Window 7 home premium 64 bit
Case: Sharkoon t28

Lazy calculate. Haha can get sharkoon and seasonic psu bundle from pc themes to save more. Also just get i5-3470 and mobo and will definitely stay below 1.5k.

Guess I'm wrong about staying within budget. Forgot about monitor. Either get lousier gpu or order online for a cheaper one. My advice, save up more for a better rig and 1080p monitor unless you don't mind not having a ssd or lower end gpu. Just save 1.8k for a decent rig and monitor lah. Worth it one

If wanna cut cost to squeeze in a monitor, can consider downgrade to Ivy Bridge instead of Haswell. At a minimum still have to spend 1.6k+

Don't think he need OS. That money and take away SSD should fit the budget for dell 23" u2312m monitor bah, @$250ish~

Edit: And Palit GTX 760 cheaper.
