Anyone here used to own the 17inch MBP and moved on to 15inch retina?
How has the screen transition been like for you?
Is it harder to work on the 15 inch screen? I know pixels are higher but real estate is still smaller. Do you need to squint more and is it more taxing on the eyes during long hours?

My 17 inch MBP is awesome but maybe its time to upgrade.
Would appreciate some feedback if any :)

You will appreciate the higher resolution and actually more real estate, just that the size does have certain impact. Given that I am a software engineer which requires quite a fair bit of screen size assets, it still works since i don't have the habit of using full screen or non overlapping windows all the time. Also the virtual screens works just fine when you need to unclutter your screen.

I have the a 27" external dell monitor at work place, but as i realise the later retina does makes the lower resolution external monitor less appealing later on. Might need to consider a 4K display soon

I have the 2013 15" Retina. Much lighter. I almost always set to the "More Space" option but I think it eats a bit more battery. Don't forget to grab a screen protector to avoid "staingate".

The newer touchbar model doesn't quite appeal to me so I'll be sticking with mine for a long time to come. Heck, I still use the 2009 17" for light work.
