1gbps full duplex and 100mpbs full duplex

Why when I set my lan to 1gbps full duplex my speed is slower than 100mpbs full duplex.

If I set to 100mpbs full duplex, I can easily hit full speed.

Using window 10
If use wireless, can get full speed

few possibilities that i can recall, but not limited to
- hardware i.e. one or both ports/NIC faulty, poor cabling, etc
- application design i.e. not written properly, etc.
- transfer test? i.e. local? internet? busy-ness of traffic/computer during transfer?, etc.
