Hi guys and the expert builders out here,

I'm keen on building a rig solely for Lightroom usage and simple gaming which means I don't think I'll need a discrete GPU for now.

I'm looking at possibly an m-ATX rig with the above budget in mind.

i7-4790k
M-ATX mobo?
RAM?
~256gb Samsung SSD
PSU?
m-ATX casing
Windows 7 or 10?
24" Dell monitor
KB + mouse

What's the best and the least I can get?

PS: I've my data in a NAS, thus only needing a single SSD for softwares and of possible, I'm going to build it today as it's urgent. LoL!

Bought already?

Haha... Yea.. Apologies but here's the update:

Processor: I5-6600k + stock Intel cooler
Mobo: Asrock Z170m/AC
RAM: DDR4 2400mhz dual kit 8gb
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250gb
PSU: Seasonic 500W modular
OS: Windows 10
Monitor: Dell U2415
Case: CM Elite 110

Damage: $1.6k

Remarks: Could have saved on the OS but couldn't wait to get it from Reddit..

I'm just curious, what's the "best" CPU cooler to replace the stock one? I was thinking of the CM 120V Plus but not too sure..

Looking to change out from stock cooler.

You should be able to find coolermaster v8 used for $30-40, then get spme thermal paste and it should be good enough. Coolers don't go kaput easily, so used ones should cool just as well as new ones

Read this...
Case: CM Elite 110

He can only consider slightly bigger low profile HSF or preferably 120mm AIO cooler.

Corsair H80i can fit well:

Ah... Yes!

You the best la.. Kam sia!

Now you got me looking into more of these kinds (closed loop cooler?).

Send that there are:
Seidon 120V Plus
Enermax Liqmax ii
*Corsair H80i

Don't mind me asking but is this the best in terms of cooling performance?

Yeah TBH you don't have much choice, so this H80i is one of the better ones...
