Hi, sorry to hijack your thread but Im also looking for a 2.0 speakers, thought Ill post here instead of starting a new one.

Dropped one of my Klipsch Promedia GMX satallites on the floor last week and think its a good time to get a new set with less wires. (Everything else still works if anyone interested in taking it off my hands)

Ive been reading and there are a few popular choices in the 300-400 range which are the AV40 and the Audioengine 2.... but the discussions are like 2 yrs old. Are there better ones out since then?

THanks in advance. :D

Speakers for desktop usage ah?
Budget very impt, must state.

$20~ go with cheapo creative or edifier speakers. I recommend A40 creative.

$190~ Swans D1080-IV. Superb tight bass and mids, some coloration at mids but most people who hear it loves the coloration.

$300~ Swans M200MKII. My set of speaks, just bought about a week ago, extremely happy with my purchase.

Maybe can take pic of your setup and space you have? Can go with 2.1 setup might want to try Swans M50w or Aego M.

Audioengine is good too, but swans are better bang for buck.

This subforum kinda dead, that's why bo replies haha.

100 below?
to me decent sound can liao for speaker.

the reason i want 2.0 is i dont want a woofer. space limited hehe

$100 not much, hard to get decent satellites wor. Can try D1010-IV, might be able to get $12x-13x if you lucky enough to bargain.

For $100, most decent pair of satellites I've listened to is the Swans M10, but that one have woofer, and is a mid-woofer-ish, so best to put that desktop. Doubt you have enough space for that though.

Anything lower, I not really sure le wor, I own a few jiapalan $15~30 creative and edifier, all sound roughly the same. Not that bad one la hehe. I recommend creative cheapo satellites. Save the rest for headphones maybe?

Hard to get good speakers with limited space de..
