2.5" to 3.5" Adapter

Hello,

Need some advise regarding the above adapter.

3.5" HDD are suppose to use 5/32 Mounting screw.
While 2.5" HDD/SSD are suppose to use M3 Mounting screw.

That being the case,
ain't all 2.5" to 3.5" adapter suppose to use 5/32 Mounting screw ?
My old vertex came with an SSD to 3.5" adapter,
but the Mounting Screw is using M3 screw.
So i couldnt mount it on my usual 3.5" HDD slot.

If i will to purchase those generic adapter from sls,
will they come with M3 or 5/32 mounting hole ?

SSD to 3.5" adapter should come with m3 screws for the SSD

Your case should come with 6/32 mounting screws for HDD & SSD brackets.

SSD need put in bracket one meh? o.o, just use double sided tape **** on a flat surface luh lol

Yes, SSD should comes with M3 screw to mount the SSD onto the adapter. Then use the 5/32 screw (from casing) to mount the adapter+SSD onto the std 3.5" slot.

The adapter that comes with my old vertex SSD,
the side screw hole is M3 rather than 5/32.
My casing (PC-A04) is using special 5/32 screw,
and i cant just use regular M3 screw.

I rather use the velcro strap.
At least its easier to remove.

Can also wrap your ssd up in a piece of paper then stick that piece of paper down. When want remove can just tear it

good idea! fold the paper into a pocket or a box xD

Since you not going to move the PC frequently, just plug the cables into the ssd & leave it anywhere inside the case.

I'm pretty sure it's 6-32 and not 5-32...

Nothing wrong about using tape to secure SSD to casing, this is what happened when buyers discovered no SSD bracket upon reaching home.
