Planning to go italy for 2 weeks. First time there.
Here is my rough plan....

• Fly to Rome (4 -5 days)
• Assisi (1 day) - optional
• Florence ( 3 days)
• Venice ( 3 days)
• Milan to Singapore ( 3 days)

Just wondering is it too rush?? :(
My objective to see architecture, art museums, scenery...:s13:

Venice:

I am in Venice now, and I think 2 days /nights is enough. This assumes you get into Venice in the morning so you have a good 1.5 days. Get a 24 hour (from time the ticket is first used) water taxi tourist pass at €25 and visit Burano, Murano (and Torcello) within that. If you are (really) deeper into architecture and nature as you spend time observing small details , then 3+ days.

FWIW, it is chock-full of tourists, and because you are visiting the first time, then it is worth the experience of seeing a city with waterways and the pass will help you see more. For context, this is my 4th trip over many years but a decent weather helped to justify this trip. I have also seen too many churches etc in my lifetime to be awed for too long.

FWIW2, this trip brought me to Firenze, Siena, Perugia, Bologna, Assisi, Spello , Venice, and then Ortisei (for Dolomites Val Gardena) and then Verona before heading home. Ask for more if you need more thoughts, because I am not sure if you have already completed your trip!

I get what you mean about Venice, the streets there can be pretty confusing and sometimes you end up dragging your luggage through narrow lanes for ages. I also stayed near the train station because I didn’t want to deal with rolling my bag all the way inside the old city. Walking around at night was definitely a bit strange, especially when it gets super quiet and the lights are dim. Next time I'm planning something less hectic, maybe somewhere on the coast for more relaxed vibes and good food. Came across Santa Margherita Ligure, which sounds perfect for mixing beach time, local eats, and some scenic walks along the waterfront.
