Hmm I'm 40 years old. Strikes me that I only have 20 new phones on 2-year contracts til I probably kick the bucket.

You can always buy phones without contracts. Phones nowadays can be quite cheap and you can trade-in/ give to others if you like to. And it could be cheaper and better when times goes.

Wonder if smartphones will even exist in 20 years time. Suspect there will be communication technology embedded in our bodies or clothes.
