Everyone, thank you. I have decided to used 2x 200mm top as exhaust. Leaving my front 3x 120mm and bottom 2x 120mm as intake. Since everyone is recommending Scythe Gentle Typhoons and EK Vardar, I will adopt them. Lastly, how about Noctua Industrial 2000rpm fans? Any reviews? Its sold at SGD45 a piece at Cybermind.

Also I see various RPM variants, nose is of a concern to me (Noctua 140mm max rpm of 1500 starts to be noticeable to me, quoted 24.6dBA). And I know there is no standard SOP distance to measure acoustic levels, so which range of rpm for GTs and Vardars would be relatively safe yet efficient? I don't use HDDs, I remove all cages in my setups to prevent obstructions.

Lastly, with a potential total of 8-15 fans, I would be using splitters with 4pin-molex power directly from PSU. Question, would a PSU power cable with multiple 4pin-molex ports provide the Amperes, or do I have to use extra PSU power cables? In short, is there a limit of amperes in each PSU cable ports, or does the PSU intelligently adjust for the demands w/o under-powering.

Happy New Year anyway!

Fan uses very little ampere. There's no issue daisy chaining to a single molex.

With that many fans, you should be concern with air turbulence. It will amplify the noise.

The best way is to get a decent fan controller (I'm still using the Lamptron FC5v2 heh) and tune everything to perfection.

Thanks for the info, yes I do realise noise would be an issue. Planning to get a fan controller too. Question: a controller usually allows 4-5 ports, is it alright to 'daisy chain' several fans to a port? And the RPM display, only one of the cluster will be read (I assumed its the PWM signal?), does that mean I'd have to remove the 4th PWM wire for the rest of the fans in the cluster?
