lol.. okay but the salesman allowed exchange but its from 2699 (Samsung) to 2999 (LG)

That's why, best to do your own research before buying. see comparison videos and more to get an understanding of what is the best TV be it, LCD or OLED based TV.

Salesman are smart. Lure you to buy the TVs that are not moving and then have the nerve to say, exchange to LG OLED, must top up when they deceive you into buying the wrong choice to begin with. That is why never ever trust salesman. They are there to make commissions and meet their target, let's say if their manager asks them to move 5 QLED TVs out, then they'll try as much to push people to buy them. Albeit if the TV is good or bad. It's all business after all.

That is why I research first such as watching 'HDTVTest' youtuber who's a professional calibrator of TVs that do reviews and comparison videos of the various TVs. And then find the best prices that our fellow HWZers get and go down and straight away buy the TV. The more you stay there and listen, the more they can lie their way to make a customer feel their wrong decision is right like the recent exposed salesman in this thread.

Umm actually about 2 months+ back when we were still looking for c7 all the salesman recommended us this model due to commission wise rather than the q7 and of course they also said c7 specs wise is better than q7. In the end we didn’t go for both models due to other reasons. To be honest my BIL younger bro is working in LG. As he had been working there for many years I suppose I can check with him price too. After that we did look for him and check from him the prices and even he told us to get from the salesman as he can’t get me the price that guy who quoted me because that time c7 prices fluctuate a lot. He told me most of them will recommend me the c7 due to the commission.
Haha... But of course spec wise c7 will be better than the q7. :s13:

I already said before and going to repeat again for others benifit.. Oled not only have true black it has the best viewing angle also.. The best TV use in studio recording and editing is an oled panel. So u tell me if it is not the best why dun they use QLED? For oled not necessary buy LG.. Althought LG support all hdr format.. Panasonic oled color is good also...

yeah sure. ok. thanks.
Have done a ton of research on oled burn in. It actually does happen quite often believe it or not; largely depends on how you use it too. You can actually read more and more people getting it, it's no myth.

Sony zd9 is quite expensive unfortunately. :( With oled still edging it on most image quality and especially viewing from an angle. Thinking of getting 930e from Amazon $1999 USD, the power is compatible with 240v.

I have no doubt it could take place. What I wont take is when people are saying as if it will guarantee + chop happen beyond a shadow of a doubt and all OLED buyers are suckers.

I have no qualms abt QLED, however their current QC has me questioning, i've seen & heard of more samsung tv failures in the last 2 years .

Side by side I preferred the OLED. Took be about 4 mths of comparison and research before I committed to buying.

Both kind of TV's have their merits but if u want to buy the best TV you want to get right now, industry wide, including youtube reviewers, HDTVtest, rtings etc etc...OLED is king.

Salesman sell whatever impact their pocket.
Another symptom you can see often in Singapore is those so call salesman are brand promoter. They get commission only for that particular brand. So if you start looking at another brand, they walk away or down play the brand you are interested.

So always, buy with care and do lots of research first.

I tried googling for the said issue but majority claimed no such issue except for the temporary image retention though. I was shown a particularly bad burn in issue on a LG display set which convinced me to go for QLED.

if high brightness and color volume is the priority, keep the Q7.

otherwise go exchange for c7.

True dat.

Seriously can't beat OLED, just go to any shop can see a clear winner. Wanted to get one too, until my Samsung S7 Edge phone showed burn in (stupid tap tap titan game), then got cold feet. Did research, found that it especially happens for users who leave their TV on with static images (the screensavers in c7 series didn't help) or if you watch a lot of news (with ticker newsflash at the bottom). Then I think back at the number of times my wife "forgets" to off the TV while linked to PC (windows bar). Sigh...
