So far, I have only place a token booking fee. If i can get better deal elsewhere, then I might cancel the booking. (Booked other appliances also)

a courts promoter just shared with me that OLED TVs are susceptible to burn-in issues? Anyone care to comment?

You must understand that TV shops and salesmen have their own agenda. Please research properly before you buy.

One of the most recommended sites for TV reviews and testing is rtings.com
Or if you prefer to watch videos, https://www.youtube.com/user/hdtvtest is a pretty informative channel.

I've actually watched the youtube reviews from rting as well. Just that I wish to cover from all angles, be in salesman or online reviews etc, to make an informed decision

Oh I see. Yah, good to hear from actual users.
Like you, I'm also going to buy TV soon.

Interesting. Oled TVs are the more expensive ones, I wonder why the salesperson didn't persuade you to get them instead for better commission lol.

Actually the mid/high tier LCD TV models the salesmen recommend are now pretty close in pricing to the acclaimed entry level OLED TVs of similar size. Eg. 55" models all around $3k (+/-$100-$200)

Lol.. Salesman's Tactics.. I wun even listen to their talks.. All are bullsh1t to me.. I rather do my own research. As another ppl said... They are swaying u to buy more expensive higher end led LCD TV... In the end OLED is still the King of PQ... I just watch another new Japan fireworks show on my LG OLED... It is so real like and immersive..

I asked for the price of E7 and surprisingly he recommended me Sony models of lower prices. Apparently, commission is not a factor here which prompted me to ask here to understand better

you are assuming commission amount is proportional to sales price, but it's not.

back to your burn in question, all emissive displays (CRT, plasma, OLED, etc) have the potential to suffer from burn in. however, being possible and being susceptible are 2 different things, susceptibility means there is a likelihood, which is not the case for today's OLEDs. so unless your TV display pattern contains prolonged static display (e.g. always watching a certain channel that has a fixed channel logo shown, or always playing a certain game that has a fixed HUD or status bar), you do not need to worry about this.
