Is it image rentention?

Unless BD sent me a used TV, I don't think so. Image retention usually forms either the watermark or word.
But this looks like fingerprint smudges like that but a lot of them on the top left.

It was obvious on the 1st day and even now.

I did a powerpoint test on the 2nd night with different solid colours to see any problems.

Luckily the only issue is with white and light grey where the top left appears evidently more yellowish than the rest of the screen.

The whole lot of u are wasting thread space asking for pm. Just post the info here so that the rest of us can benefit.

You are not dealing with top secret confidential pricing. That is chargeable by letting the general public know.

Pls man, we are dealing with tv prices here.

I think it's the poster's prerogative.
Sometimes may have received an good deal that's not printable.
But then it may not be a good idea to post it in the first place...

Thanks both of you. And nice trick! Luckily TV says Total Power On Time to be 23 hours. :s13:
I'll give today to be the last day for the LEDs to properly be utilized prior to calling them later tomorrow. Thanks once again.
Btw, have you guys tried the TV's internal speaker with Dolby Atmos? I am surprised it actually works with just the TV's internal speakers. Gives me a good gauge that even with the TV being off centre from my room, the Atmos effect will still work.

I got a c7 also..the internal speakers actually sound quite sucky after you compare against receiver + 5.1 speaker output. I'm not sure how it's even supposed to be atmos when atmos needs at least 2 vertical firing speakers :(' The image quality especially for dolby vision hdr still takes my breath away..difficult to watch sdr after that.

The sound is indeed muffled and too bass-heavy for my taste. Currently, I have my TV set away from the wall. Might be why the sound was able to bounce off the wall properly and create the effect? It's the same with headphones where it's only in stereo but with the software to create the 5.1 surround effect which works really well in footstep dependent games.

The ceiling effect was lacking with the TV internal speakers but I was able to track sound coming from behind me. At least gave me a gauge that soundbars will generally work even if there are no physical speakers behind me.

Anyway, it gave me a reason to upgrade to the Creative Sonic Carrier soundbar and ditch my current 5.1 speaker setup. :s13:

You guys are kidding me ? LG is famous for it's picture quality, not sound. If you invest this much in OLED, at least you should invest in a good sound bar system. And for those who invest in sound bar, don't put your expectation too high. Dolby Atmos, seriously ???

Please have a look at the SJ9 soundbar. It is quite impressive. :)

If you invest this much in OLED, at least you should invest in a good sound bar system.

I already have a 5.1 speaker setup for 10 years. (though the speakers change throughout the years)
The thing is, the way the TV is positioned in my room where it is off centre and close to the right side of the wall, I did not believe in using soundbars just so I can upgrade my 5.1 setup to a 5.1.2 Atmos setup with a soundbar where the sound will be unbalanced due to the positioning itself unless the rear speakers can physically move to adapt to the weird positioning.

So out of curiousity, I tried the Atmos with both my internal and 5.1 speaker setup followed by just the internal speakers and was surprised the effect works.
The sound quality was because someone has to mention it. For me personally, I will never use TV speakers ever. Thus my dependency on the 5.1 speakers.

And for those who invest in sound bar, don't put your expectation too high. Dolby Atmos, seriously ???

The feel between physical 5.1 speakers and a soundbar is different. The soundbar feels like you are encapsulated in a bubble with sound flying around if your soundbar supports the Atmos or DTS:X format when I tried the demo for Creative and LG SJ9.

That is why when buying a soundbar, I went to look for only the best as well which supports both formats and more. Thus my investment in a now '$7999' Creative Sonic Carrier. Though I only bought it for $2K+ =:p

I guess most people here are videophile, not much of an audiophile.
I have been using 5.1 physical speakers (Energy take 5+ KEF+ Onkyo 3,500 SGD) for almost 20 years and it still serves me well. Physical speakers last very long. The new AV receiver model can automatically do the sound calibration. It help your life a lot easier than in the past.
btw, I still consider myself an amateur

My prediction is that sound bar will rule the world (at least in countries with relatively small room like Singapore or Hong Kong) the same way phone camera beats digital camera. The reason is simple. Setting up sound bar is much easier than Dolby Atmos, let alone 5.1 system. However, what could also be a game changer is the upcoming Bluetooth 5 platform which offer a much better wireless transmission.
For now, I still enjoy my antique 5.1+2 Dolby Atmos and look forward to wireless earphone with Bluetooth 5. :D:D:D
Ii's been 8 years that I am still appreciate picture quality of my Pioneer KURO. Not that I am not interested in LG OLED. The problem is I still can't find a good excuse to buy LG OLED TV. Otherwise, my wife will scold at me :-\

If you just watch regular TV program, stereo is find. You probably don't need to spend this much money for OLED.

Be warn, If you are a movie lover, once you listen to sound bar or 5.1 system, you will never want to go back to stereo. It's like you use to enjoy Sentosa but then discover Caribbean beach later.

Simplicity with decent (not stellar) sound quality is the reason why sound bar will rule the world, I believe.
