Don't have toggle or developer options?

Go to settings > system > about phone > build number. Tap build number seven times. After the first few taps, you should see the steps counting down until you unlock the developer options. Once activated, you will see a message that reads, β€œYou are now a developer!”
Go back to settings, where you’ll find a developer options in > system > advance

Make sure you have at least Google Phone 26.0.221539659, which brings brings dark mode.

Go to phone and select three dots menu at top right of screen. Go to display options and you see dark thrme. Toggle on.

If you cannot turn it on, go to developer options and turn off night mode.

Head back to phone -> display options and you can now toggle.

Thanks for the detailed instructions. I switched off night mode in developer and I still can't get the toggle. Very strange.

My phone app is even newer. 26.0.222

Im using English (Singapore) because I find it recognises my accent better. Hahaha

Actually apart from the call screening, I'm also still waiting for "Overview Selection" to be made available for English (Singapore) - see https://www.androidpolice.com/2018/...w-screen-allows-text-selection-android-9-pie/

I know Overview Selection is available for English (US) but I'm not willing to forego the more accurate voice recognition for this feature alone. And this feature has been rolled out for like what, 4 months already, and it's still only available to English (US)...

And if this (apparently) simpler feature hasnt even rolled out yet to all English users after so long, I think one can only wait till Pixel 5 before the (apparently) more complexed call screening comes to Singapore.

Yes call screen have to wait for Google to officially activate for Singapore... unless you root. I have it on Pixel 2. Will root my Pixel 3 and do the same edits to see if I can activate it on the Pixel 3, when i get my phone this weekend.

I have been using the Casefactorie screen protector since Monday. So far so good, no need for me to upgrade to Whitestone dome yet. We shall see over the next few weeks.
