I don't think there is a good tempered glass protector yet, at least from amazon anyway. Whitestone dome only out in mid-end Nov

I think Google contracted Expansys to handle distribution etc for South East Asia and Oceania. RMA-ed my pixel 2 xl from Australia last year, Expansys HK handled everything after the initial support chat with Google.

I think a lot of people are getting good panels though, just that the odds of getting a bad one is higher than what is normally acceptable (at least that's my opinion la)? But yeah, for a phone at this price tag, it's not great that consumers have to deal with this. Even if they can get it RMA/replaced if they do have issues, it's just a sucky experience.

But regular consumers who have doesn't frequent tech sites, reddit, or forums, probably won't even know about this anyway. So in the end, Google might not care. OR, it could just be like "first batch issues". And it'll get more consistent in the future. who knows. haha.

At this point, I'm not even having the chance to play the OLED lottery...can't even get past the POP Station lottery it seems. My collection date is today, but still not getting any POP Station SMS, and Singtel account still shows "Processing", not even "In Warehouse".

not just display.. sound quality as well this year. remember orig pixel 1 year down the road microphone start having issues.

I'm waiting for my order to be shipped still. And mine's the Pixel 3 XL Just Black that nobody wants and that Telcos carry. Regretted ordering from Google man. No freebies I still can accept. But delivering only after the official launch despite "preordering"...? Only Google is capable of such a logistics nightmare.

You called DHL ? this time round DHL did not update the status promptly, till 9 am,I still got shipment information received then a few hours later status updated to at delivery centre.

Perhaps I will call DHL to get an estimate delivery time.
